2 Peter 2:21

English Standard Version

21 For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them. (Eze 18:24; Lu 12:47; Ro 7:12; Heb 6:4; Heb 10:26; Jas 4:17)

New International Version

21 It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them.

New International Reader’s Version

21 Suppose they had not known the way of godliness. This would have been better than to know godliness and then turn away from it. The way of godliness is the sacred command passed on to them.

King James Version

21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
