42 A man came from Baal-shalishah, bringing the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley and fresh ears of grain in his sack. And Elisha said, “Give to the men, that they may eat.” (1Sa 9:4; 1Sa 9:7; Mt 14:16; Mt 15:32; Mr 6:37; Mr 8:4; Lu 9:13; Joh 6:5)

New International Version

42 A man came from Baal Shalishah, bringing the man of God twenty loaves of barley bread baked from the first ripe corn, along with some ears of new corn. ‘Give it to the people to eat,’ Elisha said.

New International Reader’s Version

42 A man came from Baal Shalishah. He brought the man of God 20 loaves of barley bread. They had been baked from the first corn that had ripened. The man also brought some grains of new corn. ‘Give this food to the people to eat,’ Elisha said.

King James Version

42 And there came a man from Baalshalisha, and brought the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley, and full ears of corn in the husk thereof. And he said, Give unto the people, that they may eat.
