5 But the army of the Chaldeans pursued the king and overtook him in the plains of Jericho, and all his army was scattered from him. 

New International Version

5 but the Babylonian[1] army pursued the king and overtook him in the plains of Jericho. All his soldiers were separated from him and scattered,

5 But the Babylonian army chased King Zedekiah. They caught up with him in the plains near Jericho. All his soldiers were separated from him. They had scattered in every direction.
