2 Kings 2:14

English Standard Version

14 Then he took the cloak of Elijah that had fallen from him and struck the water, saying, “Where is the Lord, the God of Elijah?” And when he had struck the water, the water was parted to the one side and to the other, and Elisha went over. (2Ki 2:8)

New International Version

14 He took the cloak that had fallen from Elijah and struck the water with it. ‘Where now is the Lord, the God of Elijah?’ he asked. When he struck the water, it divided to the right and to the left, and he crossed over.

New International Reader’s Version

14 Then he struck the water with Elijah’s coat. ‘Where is the power of the LORD?’ he asked. ‘Where is the power of the God of Elijah?’ When Elisha struck the water, it parted to the right and to the left. He went across the river.

King James Version

14 And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.
