English Standard Version

2 for in a severe test of affliction, their abundance of joy and their extreme poverty have overflowed in a wealth of generosity on their part. (Mr 12:44) 

New International Version

2 In the midst of a very severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. 

New International Reader’s Version

2 They have suffered a great deal. But in their suffering, their joy was more than full. Even though they were very poor, they gave very freely. 

King James Version

2 How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.
