5 We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, (Isa 2:11; Ro 5:19; 2Co 9:13) 

New International Version

5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

5 I destroy every claim and every reason that keeps people from knowing God. I keep every thought under control in order to make it obey Christ.

5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
