English Standard Version

10 For they say, “His letters are weighty and strong, but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech of no account.” (1Co 1:17; 2Co 11:21; 2Co 12:7) 

New International Version

10 For some say, ‘His letters are weighty and forceful, but in person he is unimpressive and his speaking amounts to nothing.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

10 Some say, ‘His letters sound important. They are powerful. But in person he doesn’t seem like much. And what he says doesn’t amount to anything.’ 

King James Version

10 For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.
