6 His heart was courageous in the ways of the Lord. And furthermore, he took the high places and the Asherim out of Judah. (1Ki 22:43; 2Ch 15:17; 2Ch 20:33) 

New International Version

6 His heart was devoted to the ways of the Lord; furthermore, he removed the high places and the Asherah poles from Judah. 

New International Reader’s Version

6 His heart was committed to living the way the LORD wanted him to. He removed the high places from Judah. He also removed the poles used to worship the female god named Asherah. 

King James Version

6 And his heart was lifted up in the ways of the LORD: moreover he took away the high places and groves out of Judah.
