10 When Achish asked, “Where have you made a raid today?” David would say, “Against the Negeb of Judah,” or, “Against the Negeb of the Jerahmeelites,” or, “Against the Negeb of the Kenites.” (Jud 1:16; 1Sa 23:27; 1Sa 30:29) 

New International Version

10 When Achish asked, ‘Where did you go raiding today?’ David would say, ‘Against the Negev of Judah’ or ‘Against the Negev of Jerahmeel’ or ‘Against the Negev of the Kenites.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

10 Achish would ask, ‘Who did you attack today?’ David would answer, ‘The people who live in the Negev Desert of Judah.’ Or he would answer, ‘The people in the Negev Desert of Jerahmeel.’ Or he would answer, ‘The people in the Negev Desert of the Kenites.’ 

King James Version

10 And Achish said, Whither have ye made a road to day? And David said, Against the south of Judah, and against the south of the Jerahmeelites, and against the south of the Kenites.
