6 When Abiathar the son of Ahimelech had fled to David to Keilah, he had come down with an ephod in his hand. (1Sa 22:20) 

New International Version

6 (Now Abiathar son of Ahimelek had brought the ephod down with him when he fled to David at Keilah.) 

New International Reader’s Version

6 Abiathar, the son of Ahimelek, had brought down the sacred linen apron with him from Nob. He did it when he ran away to David at Keilah. 

King James Version

6 And it came to pass, when Abiathar the son of Ahimelech fled to David to Keilah, that he came down with an ephod in his hand.
