1 Kings 12:15

English Standard Version

15 So the king did not listen to the people, for it was a turn of affairs brought about by the Lord that he might fulfill his word, which the Lord spoke by Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nebat. (1Ki 11:11; 1Ki 11:31; 1Ki 12:24)

New International Version

15 So the king did not listen to the people, for this turn of events was from the Lord, to fulfil the word the Lord had spoken to Jeroboam son of Nebat through Ahijah the Shilonite.

New International Reader’s Version

15 So the king didn’t listen to the people. That’s because the LORD had planned it that way. What he had said through Ahijah came true. Ahijah had spoken the LORD’s message to Jeroboam, the son of Nebat. Ahijah was from Shiloh.

King James Version

15 Wherefore the king hearkened not unto the people; for the cause was from the LORD, that he might perform his saying, which the LORD spake by Ahijah the Shilonite unto Jeroboam the son of Nebat.
