1 Kings 11:5

English Standard Version

5 For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites. (Jud 2:13; 1Ki 11:7; 1Ki 11:33; 2Ki 23:13) 

New International Version

5 He followed Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, and Molek the detestable god of the Ammonites. 

New International Reader’s Version

5 Solomon worshipped Ashtoreth. Ashtoreth was the female god of the Sidonians. He also worshipped Molek. Molek was the god of the Ammonites. The LORD hated that god. 

King James Version

5 For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.
