1 Kings 1:50

50 And Adonijah feared Solomon. So he arose and went and took hold of the horns of the altar. (Ex 27:2; 1Ki 2:28) 

New International Version

50 But Adonijah, in fear of Solomon, went and took hold of the horns of the altar. 

New International Reader’s Version

50 Adonijah was afraid of what Solomon might do to him. So he went and grabbed the horns of the altar for burnt offerings. Those horns stuck out from its upper corners. 

King James Version

50 And Adonijah feared because of Solomon, and arose, and went, and caught hold on the horns of the altar.
