16 Or do you not know that he who is joined[1] to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For, as it is written, “The two will become one flesh.” (Ge 2:24; Mt 19:5; Mr 10:8; Eph 5:31) 

New International Version

16 Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, ‘The two will become one flesh.’ (Ge 2:24) 

New International Reader’s Version

16 When you join yourself to a prostitute, you become one with her in body. Don’t you know this? Scripture says, ‘The two will become one.’ (Ge 2:24)
