12 “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything. (1Co 10:23) 

New International Version

12 ‘I have the right to do anything,’ you say – but not everything is beneficial. ‘I have the right to do anything’ – but I will not be mastered by anything.

12 Some of you say, ‘I have the right to do anything.’ But not everything is helpful. Again some of you say, ‘I have the right to do anything.’ But I will not be controlled by anything.
