6 if anyone is above reproach, the husband of one wife,[1] and his children are believers[2] and not open to the charge of debauchery or insubordination. (Eph 5:18; 1Ti 3:2)

New International Version

6 An elder must be blameless, faithful to his wife, a man whose children believe[1] and are not open to the charge of being wild and disobedient.

New International Reader’s Version

6 An elder must be without blame. He must be faithful to his wife. His children must be believers. They must not give anyone a reason to say that they are wild and don’t obey.

6 If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.
