Romans 6:16

English Standard Version

16 Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves,[1] you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness? (Mt 6:24; Joh 8:34; Ro 6:20)

New International Version

16 Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey – whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?

New International Reader’s Version

16 Don’t you know that when you give yourselves to obey someone you become that person’s slave? If you are slaves of sin, then you will die. But if you are slaves who obey God, then you will live a godly life.

King James Version

16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
