English Standard Version

1 To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry. (Ps 27:14; Ps 37:7; Ps 39:12) 

New International Version

1 I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. 

New International Reader’s Version

1 I was patient while I waited for the LORD. He turned to me and heard my cry for help. 

King James Version
