English Standard Version

1 Blessed is the man[1] who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; (Job 21:16; Ps 26:4; Ps 107:32; Pr 1:10; Pr 1:22; Pr 3:34; Pr 4:14; Pr 19:29; Pr 21:24; Pr 29:8; Isa 28:14; Jer 15:17)

1 Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, 

New International Reader’s Version

1 Blessed is the person who obeys the law of the LORD. They don’t follow the advice of evil people. They don’t make a habit of doing what sinners do. They don’t join those who make fun of the LORD and his law.
