Proverbs 29:15

English Standard Version

15 The rod and reproof give wisdom, but a child left to himself brings shame to his mother. (Pr 10:1; Pr 17:25; Pr 29:17) 

New International Version

15 A rod and a reprimand impart wisdom, but a child left undisciplined disgraces its mother. 

New International Reader’s Version

15 If a child is corrected, they become wise. But a child who is not corrected brings shame to their mother. 

King James Version

15 The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.
