14 The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life, that one may turn away from the snares of death. (Ps 18:5; Pr 10:11; Pr 14:27; 2Ti 2:26)

14 The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life, turning a person from the snares of death. 

New International Reader’s Version

14 The teaching of wise people is like a fountain that gives life. It turns those who listen to it away from the jaws of death. 

King James Version

14 The law of the wise is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.
