English Standard Version

29 The sons of Manasseh: of Machir, the clan of the Machirites; and Machir was the father of Gilead; of Gilead, the clan of the Gileadites. (Nu 36:1; Jos 17:1; 1Ch 7:14) 

New International Version

29 The descendants of Manasseh: through Makir, the Makirite clan (Makir was the father of Gilead); through Gilead, the Gileadite clan. 

New International Reader’s Version

29 Here are the names of Manasseh’s sons. The Makirite family came from Makir. Makir was the father of Gilead. The Gileadite family came from Gilead.

29 Of the sons of Manasseh: of Machir, the family of the Machirites: and Machir begat Gilead: of Gilead come the family of the Gileadites.
