28 And Joshua the son of Nun, the assistant of Moses from his youth, said, “My lord Moses, stop them.” (Ex 24:13; Nu 13:8; Nu 13:16; Nu 26:65; Mr 9:38; Lu 9:49) 

New International Version

28 Joshua son of Nun, who had been Moses’ assistant since youth, spoke up and said, ‘Moses, my lord, stop them!’ 

New International Reader’s Version

28 Joshua spoke up. He was the son of Nun. Joshua had been Moses’ helper from the time he was young. He said, ‘Moses! Please stop them!’ 

King James Version

28 And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, one of his young men, answered and said, My lord Moses, forbid them.
