38 Then he said to them, “My soul is very sorrowful, even to death; remain here, and watch[1] with me.” (Ps 42:5; Mt 24:42; Joh 12:27) 

New International Version

38 Then he said to them, ‘My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

38 Then he said to them, ‘My soul is very sad. I feel close to death. Stay here. Keep watch with me.’ 

King James Version

38 Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.
