34 But when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together. (Mt 22:23; Mr 12:28) 

New International Version

34 Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 

New International Reader’s Version

34 The Pharisees heard that the Sadducees weren’t able to answer Jesus. So the Pharisees got together. 

King James Version

34 But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together.
