42 Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: “‘The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone;[1] this was the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes’? (Ps 118:22; Mt 21:16; Ac 4:11; 1Pe 2:7) 

New International Version

42 Jesus said to them, ‘Have you never read in the Scriptures: ‘ “The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvellous in our eyes”? (Ps 118:22; Ps 118:23) 

New International Reader’s Version

42 Jesus said to them, ‘Haven’t you ever read what the Scriptures say, ‘ “The stone the builders didn’t accept has become the most important stone of all. The Lord has done it. It is wonderful in our eyes”? (Ps 118:22; Ps 118:23) 

King James Version

42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
