New International Version

19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, “Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.” But wisdom is proved right by her deeds.’

New International Reader’s Version

19 But when the Son of Man came, he ate and drank as you do. And people say, “This fellow is always eating and drinking far too much. He’s a friend of tax collectors and ‘sinners’. ” By wise actions wisdom is shown to be right.’

King James Version

19 The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.
