Malachi 2:17

English Standard Version

17 You have wearied the Lord with your words. But you say, “How have we wearied him?” By saying, “Everyone who does evil is good in the sight of the Lord, and he delights in them.” Or by asking, “Where is the God of justice?” (Isa 5:20; Isa 43:24; Mal 2:14; Mal 3:1; Mal 3:15; 2Pe 3:4)

New International Version

17 You have wearied the Lord with your words. ‘How have we wearied him?’ you ask. By saying, ‘All who do evil are good in the eyes of the Lord, and he is pleased with them’ or ‘Where is the God of justice?’

New International Reader’s Version

17 You have worn out the LORD by what you keep saying. ‘How have we worn him out?’ you ask. You have done it by saying, ‘All those who do evil things are good in the LORD’s sight. And he is pleased with them.’ Or you ask, ‘Is God really fair?’

King James Version

17 Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him ? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgment?
