7 And the scribes and the Pharisees watched him, to see whether he would heal on the Sabbath, so that they might find a reason to accuse him. (Lu 11:54; Lu 14:1; Lu 20:20; Joh 8:6) 

New International Version

7 The Pharisees and the teachers of the law were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely to see if he would heal on the Sabbath. 

New International Reader’s Version

7 The Pharisees and the teachers of the law were trying to find fault with Jesus. So they watched him closely. They wanted to see if he would heal on the Sabbath day. 

King James Version

7 And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him.
