16 “The Law and the Prophets were until John; since then the good news of the kingdom of God is preached, and everyone forces his way into it.[1] (Mt 11:12; Lu 4:43; Lu 15:1) 

New International Version

16 ‘The Law and the Prophets were proclaimed until John. Since that time, the good news of the kingdom of God is being preached, and everyone is forcing their way into it. 

New International Reader’s Version

16 ‘The teachings of the Law and the Prophets were preached until John the Baptist came. Since then, the good news of God’s kingdom is being preached. And everyone is trying very hard to enter it. 

King James Version

16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.
