Leviticus 16:29

29 “And it shall be a statute to you forever that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall afflict yourselves[1] and shall do no work, either the native or the stranger who sojourns among you. New International Version

29 ‘This is to be a lasting ordinance for you: on the tenth day of the seventh month you must deny yourselves[1] and not do any work – whether native-born or a foreigner residing among you –

New International Reader’s Version

29 ‘Here is a law for you that will last for all time to come. On the tenth day of the seventh month you must not eat anything. You must not do any work. It does not matter whether you are Israelites or outsiders.
