4 But the Lord hurled a great wind upon the sea, and there was a mighty tempest on the sea, so that the ship threatened to break up. (1Ki 22:48; Ps 48:7; Ps 107:25) 

New International Version

4 Then the Lord sent a great wind on the sea, and such a violent storm arose that the ship threatened to break up. 

New International Reader’s Version

4 But the LORD sent a strong wind over the Mediterranean Sea. A wild storm came up. It was so wild that the ship was in danger of breaking apart. 

King James Version

4 But the LORD sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken.
