John 8:40

English Standard Version

40 but now you seek to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. This is not what Abraham did. (Joh 8:26; Joh 8:37) 

New International Version

40 As it is, you are looking for a way to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. Abraham did not do such things. 

New International Reader’s Version

40 But you are looking for a way to kill me. I am a man who has told you the truth I heard from God. Abraham didn’t do the things you want to do. 

King James Version

40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.
