John 3:20

English Standard Version

20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. (Job 24:13; Ro 13:12; Eph 5:11; Eph 5:13) 

New International Version

20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. 

New International Reader’s Version

20 Everyone who does evil deeds hates the light. They will not come into the light. They are afraid that what they do will be seen. 

King James Version

20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
