2 And the soldiers twisted together a crown of thorns and put it on his head and arrayed him in a purple robe. (Mt 27:27; Mr 15:16)

2 The soldiers twisted together a crown of thorns and put it on his head. They clothed him in a purple robe

2 The soldiers twisted thorns together to make a crown. They put it on Jesus’ head. Then they put a purple robe on him.
