19 Pilate also wrote an inscription and put it on the cross. It read, “Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews.” (Mt 27:37; Mr 15:26; Lu 23:38) 

New International Version

19 Pilate had a notice prepared and fastened to the cross. It read: Jesus of Nazareth, the king of the Jews. 

New International Reader’s Version

19 Pilate had a notice prepared. It was fastened to the cross. It read, Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews. 

King James Version

19 And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.
