10 Then Simon Peter, having a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant[1] and cut off his right ear. (The servant’s name was Malchus.) (Lu 22:38) 

New International Version

10 Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. (The servant’s name was Malchus.) 

New International Reader’s Version

10 Simon Peter had a sword and pulled it out. He struck the high priest’s slave and cut off his right ear. The slave’s name was Malchus. 

King James Version

10 Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus.
