40 For thus says the Lord: “Behold, one shall fly swiftly like an eagle and spread his wings against Moab; (De 28:49; Isa 8:8; Jer 49:22; Eze 17:3)

40 This is what the Lord says: ‘Look! An eagle is swooping down, spreading its wings over Moab.

40 The LORD says, ‘Look! Nebuchadnezzar is like an eagle diving down. He is spreading his wings over Moab.
