Jeremiah 33:5

English Standard Version

5 They are coming in to fight against the Chaldeans and to fill them[1] with the dead bodies of men whom I shall strike down in my anger and my wrath, for I have hidden my face from this city because of all their evil. (De 31:17; Jer 32:5; Eze 22:20) 

New International Version

5 in the fight with the Babylonians[1]: “They will be filled with the dead bodies of the people I will slay in my anger and wrath. I will hide my face from this city because of all its wickedness. 

New International Reader’s Version

5 That was during their fight with the armies of Babylon. The LORD says, ‘The houses will be filled with dead bodies. They will be the bodies of the people I will kill. I will kill them when I am very angry with them. I will hide my face from this city. That’s because its people have committed so many sins. 

King James Version

5 They come to fight with the Chaldeans, but it is to fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have slain in mine anger and in my fury, and for all whose wickedness I have hid my face from this city.
