Jeremiah 28:9

English Standard Version

9 As for the prophet who prophesies peace, when the word of that prophet comes to pass, then it will be known that the Lord has truly sent the prophet.” (De 18:22; Jer 6:14) 

New International Version

9 But the prophet who prophesies peace will be recognised as one truly sent by the Lord only if his prediction comes true.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

9 But what if a prophet says peace will come? And suppose peace really does come? Only then will he be recognised as a prophet truly sent by the LORD.’ 

King James Version

9 The prophet which prophesieth of peace, when the word of the prophet shall come to pass, then shall the prophet be known, that the LORD hath truly sent him.
