8 In overflowing anger for a moment I hid my face from you, but with everlasting love I will have compassion on you,” says the Lord, your Redeemer. (Isa 54:7; Isa 55:3)

8 In a surge of anger I hid my face from you for a moment, but with everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you,’ says the Lord your Redeemer.

8 For a moment I turned my face away from you. I was very angry with you. But I will show you my loving concern. My faithful love will continue for ever,’ says the LORD. He is the one who set you free.
