Isaiah 42:6

English Standard Version

6 “I am the Lord; I have called you[1] in righteousness; I will take you by the hand and keep you; I will give you as a covenant for the people, a light for the nations, (Isa 41:9; Isa 49:6; Isa 49:8; Lu 2:32) 

New International Version

6 ‘I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, 

New International Reader’s Version

6 ‘I, the LORD, have chosen you to do what is right. I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you safe. You will put into effect my covenant with the people of Israel. And you will be a light for the Gentiles. 

King James Version

6 I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;
