Isaiah 28:16

English Standard Version

16 therefore thus says the Lord God, “Behold, I am the one who has laid[1] as a foundation in Zion, a stone, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, of a sure foundation: ‘Whoever believes will not be in haste.’ (Ps 118:22; Isa 14:32; Mt 21:42; Ac 4:11; Ro 9:33; 1Pe 2:6) 

New International Version

16 So this is what the Sovereign Lord says: ‘See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who relies on it will never be stricken with panic. 

New International Reader’s Version

16 So the LORD and King speaks. He says, ‘Look! I am laying a stone in Zion. It is a stone that has been tested. It is the most important stone for a firm foundation. The one who depends on that stone will never be shaken. 

King James Version

16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone , a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
