Hebrews 11:3

English Standard Version

3 By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. (Ge 1:1; Ro 4:17) 

New International Version

3 By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. 

New International Reader’s Version

3 We have faith. So we understand that everything was made when God commanded it. That’s why we believe that what we see was not made out of what could be seen. 

King James Version

3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
