28 By faith he kept the Passover and sprinkled the blood, so that the Destroyer of the firstborn might not touch them. (Ex 12:21) 

New International Version

28 By faith he kept the Passover and the application of blood, so that the destroyer of the firstborn would not touch the firstborn of Israel. 

New International Reader’s Version

28 Because of his faith, Moses was the first to keep the Passover Feast. He commanded the people of Israel to sprinkle blood on their doorways. He did it so that the destroying angel would not touch their eldest sons. 

King James Version

28 Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them.
