English Standard Version

25 And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and called his name Seth, for she said, “God has appointed[1] for me another offspring instead of Abel, for Cain killed him.” 

New International Version

25 Adam made love to his wife again, and she gave birth to a son and named him Seth,[1] saying, ‘God has granted me another child in place of Abel, since Cain killed him.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

25 Adam slept with his wife again. She gave birth to a son and named him Seth. She said, ‘God has given me another child. He will take the place of Abel, because Cain killed him.’ 

King James Version

25 And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she , hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.
