English Standard Version

26 And they told him, “Joseph is still alive, and he is ruler over all the land of Egypt.” And his heart became numb, for he did not believe them. 

New International Version

26 They told him, ‘Joseph is still alive! In fact, he is ruler of all Egypt.’ Jacob was stunned; he did not believe them. 

New International Reader’s Version

26 They told him, ‘Joseph is still alive! In fact, he is ruler of the whole land of Egypt.’ Jacob was shocked. He didn’t believe them. 

King James Version

26 And told him, saying, Joseph is yet alive, and he is governor over all the land of Egypt. And Jacob' heart fainted, for he believed them not.
