Genesis 37:28

28 Then Midianite traders passed by. And they drew Joseph up and lifted him out of the pit, and sold him to the Ishmaelites for twenty shekels[1] of silver. They took Joseph to Egypt. (Ge 37:36; Ge 45:4; Jud 8:22; Jud 8:24; Ps 105:17; Ac 7:9)

New International Version

28 So when the Midianite merchants came by, his brothers pulled Joseph up out of the cistern and sold him for twenty shekels[1] of silver to the Ishmaelites, who took him to Egypt.

New International Reader’s Version

28 The traders from Midian came by. Joseph’s brothers pulled him up out of the well. They sold him to the Ishmaelite traders for 240 grams of silver. Then the traders took him to Egypt.

King James Version

28 Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt.
