Genesis 1:7

English Standard Version

7 And God made[1] the expanse and separated the waters that were under the expanse from the waters that were above the expanse. And it was so. (Ps 148:4; Pr 8:27) 

New International Version

7 So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so. 

New International Reader’s Version

7 And that’s exactly what happened. God made the huge space between the waters. He separated the water under the space from the water above it. 

King James Version

7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
