Galatians 3:18

English Standard Version

18 For if the inheritance comes by the law, it no longer comes by promise; but God gave it to Abraham by a promise. (Heb 6:13) 

New International Version

18 For if the inheritance depends on the law, then it no longer depends on the promise; but God in his grace gave it to Abraham through a promise. 

New International Reader’s Version

18 The great gift that God has for us does not depend on the law. If it did, it would no longer depend on the promise. But God gave it to Abraham as a free gift through a promise.
